Prayers for Compassion for the People (Pst Steven Thomas)

Scripture Reference:
“But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.”Matthew 9:36 (NKJV)

It is undebatable that how successful you become in business and career is directly tied to serving people.

You have likely heard that what you’re looking for—whether a job, business opportunity, or career breakthrough—is in the hands of someone, and often, it wouldn’t take much for that person to make it happen.

People are fundamentally important in achieving or accomplishing anything. Jesus understood this, and His entire mission was centered around people. This is why He was deeply compassionate toward them.

We will never get it right in business or career if we do not prioritize people. Our drive must not be selfish ambition but a passion to meet the needs of others.

For instance, if I venture into real estate, my primary goal must not just be making money but ensuring that people have good shelter. I should feel deeply moved when I see people sleeping on the streets. If I lack that compassion, then I am only in real estate for the money and not for people. Likewise, in the medical field, if I am not moved with compassion when I see a patient struggling to pay bills or fighting for their life, then I am in it for the wrong reasons. This does not mean patients should not pay, but my heart should be stirred to help and do my best.

Compassion must be the heartbeat of everything we do.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Lord, fill my heart with compassion for people. Let me not be indifferent to the struggles and needs of others.

  2. Lord, bless my little, just as You blessed the five loaves and two fishes. Breathe on my business and career so that it may serve and meet the needs of people.

  3. Lord, help me to serve people with love and grace, avoiding a judgmental attitude. Just as Jesus showed mercy to the woman in John 8:10, may I see people through the eyes of compassion rather than condemnation. Remove every pride and self-righteousness from me so that I can minister to others with sincerity.

  4. God, help me to serve people with kindness and extend mercy even to those who fall short. May I reflect Your love in all I do.

  5. Help me, Lord, not to neglect anyone I am supposed to be a blessing to. Open my eyes to those You have placed in my path to help.

  6. Lord, help me to serve others with the same fairness and honesty that I desire others to serve me with. Let integrity and righteousness guide my dealings.

  7. Lord, help me to show genuine care and respect for others. May my interactions be filled with humility and consideration.

  8. God, help me to provide exceptional service delivery in my business and career. Let me exceed expectations and serve with excellence.

  9. Lord, connect me to the right people who will take me to the next level You have prepared for me. Bring people into my life who will go the extra mile for me, just as I am willing to do for others.

  10. Thank You, Lord, for answering my prayers. I receive grace to serve with compassion and impact lives, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Amen.
